Instructions for students or parents joining a Zoom Meeting for your info

HOW DO I JOIN A ZOOM PRESENTATION?

· Check your emails to find the Zoom link for the presentation you have signed up for (Can’t find it? Check your spam/junk folder)

· You will need to click on the link provided. You may also be asked for a Meeting ID/password – if this is the case you will have been sent this information in your email.

· Now click on “Launch Meeting”

· Please select “Join from a Browser”

· You should now be able to access the meeting

· Please note that you may be placed in a waiting room or “lobby” and then when the meeting starts, someone will let you in to the presentation

· You may need to adjust your camera and mic settings. Please mute yourself whilst the presenter is speaking.

· We encourage you to use the” Chat” function to ask questions during the presentation and there will be staff on hand to respond to these queries

· Please note that the session may be recorded. This is so that anyone not able to attend can also watch the session later

Troubleshooting.

If you cannot access the presentation – an alternative is shown below:

• Go to Video Conferencing, Web Conferencing, Webinars, Screen Sharing – Zoom
• On the top tight hand side of the screen – please select “Join a Meeting”
• Enter your Meeting ID
• Now click on “Launch Meeting”
• Please select “Join from a Browser” (Enter your password if prompted)
• You should now be able to access the meeting
